The SPCA of Texas' Pet University is proud to offer private behavior and training consultations to help preserve and strengthen the bond between people and their pets. During private training sessions you will work one-on-one with a trainer to address your specific needs and interests and learn techniques to modify your pet's behavior.

Private consultations may be conducted in our shelters or in your home. Prices vary, so click below for registration and pricing.

Home consultations are only available within a 30 mile radius of either of our shelters.

Telephone consultations are helpful for families who cannot bring their pets to the shelter and cannot schedule a home appointment. We will answer your questions and offer you skilled advice.  Please understand that we cannot solve all of your pets' problems over the phone, but we will provide you all the assistance we can.

SPCA of Texas Voices

"I'm absolutely in LOVE with Kitty (formerly Kaleigh). I know her name isn't original at all but I just started calling her that until I could think of a name and it just stuck - it's so her! I've attached two photos - she's seriously the most beautiful kitty in the world! She loves to steal tennis balls and bones from her dog sister - she thinks she's a dog! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, snuggling with mom, bird watching, drinking from the sink, playing with her pipe cleaners and getting into mom's makeup in the mornings. I couldn't 'imagine life without her. She's the absolute best!"
