Let’s Fix This FREE Spay/Neuter Event
One of the Largest Ever Spay/Neuter Events in Southern Dallas!

(DALLAS, TX); November 9, 2018: The Let’s Fix This FREE Spay/Neuter Event, held October 26-28 at Kiest Park, was one of the largest spay/neuter events to be held in Southern Dallas. At the event, Spay Neuter Network and the SPCA of Texas provided 471 FREE spay or neuter surgeries, as well as vaccines and microchips, at no cost, for dogs and cats of residents who live in 23 Southern Dallas zip codes as part of the Let’s Fix This campaign. The surgeries were completed at five locations in Dallas by the SPCA of Texas’ and Spay Neuter Network’s veterinary teams.

“Serving the people and pets of Southern Dallas at this event was an amazing experience. Reaching directly into this community and giving them the tools to make a better life for their pets and neighborhoods is a blessing,” says Jacob Carty, Marketing and Communications Director for Spay Neuter Network. “The event was a great success and we are excited to keep the ball rolling on the Let’s Fix This campaign!”

The Let’s Fix This campaign is a collaborative effort focused on providing FREE spay/neuter services to dogs in 23 Southern Dallas zip codes. The campaign, being executed by SPCA of Texas and Spay Neuter Network, has been made possible by a coalition of local private foundations.

"The SPCA of Texas is thrilled to announce that our clinics performed 235 FREE spay/neuter surgeries during the event," said James Bias, SPCA of Texas President and CEO. "The opportunity to positively impact the lives of each of the pets and their owners was possible thanks to the support of the funders and the hard work and dedication of staff and volunteers!”

While the event has concluded, the SPCA of Texas and Spay Neuter Network are still offering FREE dog services to all residents living in the 23 Southern Dallas zip codes. More information can be found at:

"I'm absolutely in LOVE with Kitty (formerly Kaleigh). I know her name isn't original at all but I just started calling her that until I could think of a name and it just stuck - it's so her! I've attached two photos - she's seriously the most beautiful kitty in the world! She loves to steal tennis balls and bones from her dog sister - she thinks she's a dog! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, snuggling with mom, bird watching, drinking from the sink, playing with her pipe cleaners and getting into mom's makeup in the mornings. I couldn't 'imagine life without her. She's the absolute best!"
