SPCA of Texas Presents 28th Annual Home for the Holidays Event

(DALLAS, TX); November 23, 2018– The SPCA of Texas is thrilled to present the 28th annual Home for the Holidays event at NorthPark Center. This signature event brings shoppers and pet lovers together to raise awareness for homeless pets, and to help these wonderful animals find their forever, loving families.

The Home for the Holidays Adoption Pavilion, located at NorthPark Center on Level One between Macy's and Dillard's, will open on Black Friday, November 23, and run through Sunday, December 23. The SPCA of Texas will feature adoptable pets every day of the week from noon to 6 p.m. with the hope that over 350 animals will find their forever homes this holiday season. Since the SPCA of Texas' first year of Home for the Holidays in 1990, over 10,000 pets have been adopted. Children who came with their parents and adopted a pet, are now coming back as adults with their families and adopting again. This event is a holiday tradition for many families here in North Texas.

Regular adoption fees are $100 for puppies and kittens aged 0-6 months, $50 for adult dogs and cats aged 6 months or older, $25 for senior dogs or cats aged 7 years and older and $25 for VIP dogs and cats (those that have been available for adoption for 30 days or more). The fee includes a spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test for dogs 6-months and older, FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative and a microchip.

We sincerely thank our sponsors, Bark + Build Lane Sponsor: Dr.Larry and Mrs. Joan Rogers; Companion Courtyard Sponsor: Hill's Pet Nutrition; Home for the Holidays Sponsors: Absolut Elyx, Activ4pets, Cash Store, Fearing's Restaurant, Guaranty Bank & Trust, Ron and Sandi Haddock, Katy Trail Animal Hospital, North Texas Cheddarheads and The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas.

"I'm absolutely in LOVE with Kitty (formerly Kaleigh). I know her name isn't original at all but I just started calling her that until I could think of a name and it just stuck - it's so her! I've attached two photos - she's seriously the most beautiful kitty in the world! She loves to steal tennis balls and bones from her dog sister - she thinks she's a dog! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, snuggling with mom, bird watching, drinking from the sink, playing with her pipe cleaners and getting into mom's makeup in the mornings. I couldn't 'imagine life without her. She's the absolute best!"
