(DALLAS/MCKINNEY,TX); April 25, 2017 — The SPCA of Texas today announced that it is one of 27 animal welfare organizations receiving grant funding to participate in the ASPCA & Subaru Loves Pets Rescue Ride program. For the fourth year, thanks to funding from Subaru of America, Inc., the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) is granting a total of $150,000 to animal welfare organizations across the country to fund the safe transport of shelter dogs from localities where supply exceeds demand to areas where the animals have a higher chance of adoption. The SPCA of Texas has received $7,500 to support the transport of animals from Dallas Animal Services to the SPCA of Texas.
