Tis’ the Season to Show Support for The SPCA of Texas!
#GivingTuesday is November 28, 2017
(DALLAS/MCKINNEY, TX); Tuesday, November 14, 2017 – The SPCA of Texas has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. The SPCA of Texas invites the North Texas community to support the animals on #GivingTuesday through donations to help the organization live up to its mission to provide every animal exceptional care and a loving home. To give, visit spca.org/GivingTuesday.
Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
The SPCA of Texas is participating in #GivingTuesday this year to spread the word about the importance of adopting, spaying/neutering and vaccinating pets to alleviate pet homelessness and make North Texas communities and beyond safer and healthier for pets and people alike.
An independent 501 (c)(3) organization, the SPCA of Texas is not a branch or chapter of the ASPCA or any other group. The organization is funded by donors, and 100% of gifts stay right here in this community. Giving to the SPCA of Texas is an investment, and $.83 of every dollar is spent directly for animal care, programs and pet and people services. Further, the SPCA of Texas is a Four-Star Charity Navigator-rated organization. This is a promise and assurance of the highest level of financial stewardship of gifts.
