SPCA of Texas Announces New Adoption Pricing

All Prices Lowered to Increase Pet Adoptions

WHAT:  The SPCA of Texas is excited to announce new adoption fee pricing, following the end of their $25 special for 100 Days of Summer. Beginning yesterday, October 1st, the SPCA of Texas reduced regular adoption fees in an effort to increase adoptions of all pets. New pricing is in effect at all SPCA of Texas locations, including the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in West Dallas, the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney, the SPCA of Texas' Mobile Adoptions Vehicle and all SPCA of Texas offsite PetSmart stores. The SPCA of Texas' adoption process remains the same with an open adoption policy and a first come, first-served basis.

New adoption fees are $100 for all puppies and kittens aged 6 months and younger (previously $125-$250), $50 for all adult dogs and cats aged 6 months or older (previously $75-$125), $25 for all senior dogs and cats aged 7 years and older and $25 for VIP dogs and cats available for adoption 30 days or more (previously $50). Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of free PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free year-long subscription to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash.

With the joy and love a new pet brings, you'll change an animal's life as well as your own. Adoption hours at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
