(McKinney, TX); February 26, 2016 —The SPCA of Texas is excited to announce that the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center at 8411 Stacy Road in McKinney, TX will be undergoing renovations beginning February 29th. The makeover, which will take approximately six weeks to complete, will include updates to the dog adoption runs, puppy room, dog holding runs, cat lobby housing and a dog medical annex. The finished renovation will include all new kennels, resurfaced floors and a fresh coat of paint.
The improved facilities will greatly enhance the SPCA of Texas’ ability to provide excellent care and loving homes to animals in the Collin County area and beyond.
During construction, dogs, cats and small mammals will be transferred to the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas. The Perry Animal Care Center will continue to take in a limited number of owner surrendered animals. People looking to surrender pets can fill out the pet surrender form online at www.spca.org/surrender.

The SPCA of Texas will feature adoptable pets at its Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center and at various offsite adoption locations throughout the DFW Metroplex. All adoptable pets can be seen at www.spca.org/findapet.
During renovation, the Russell H. Perry Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic will remain open for scheduled appointments and surgeries. Vaccine clinics will take place on Saturday, March 5th and Saturday, March 19th. The Perry Clinic will also offer pet wellness appointments on Monday, March 7th and Monday, March 21st.
