WHAT: You don't have to go to New Orleans to have a good time this Fat Tuesday! Celebrate Mardi Paws with the greatest treat of all--by adopting one of the SPCA of Texas' homeless pets for only $28. The SPCA of Texas is offering $28 adoptions for pets needing some extra love. Pets eligible for this special adoption fee include VIPs (pets available for adoption 30 days or longer), seniors (age 7 years and older), and all adult pets (age 6 months and older.) The Mardi Paws special will be offered at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in West Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney, excluding livestock.
Regular adoption fees are $250 for puppies, $125 for adult dogs 6 months and older and kittens 0-6 months, $75 for adult cats 6 months and older, $50 for senior dogs and cats 7 years or older and VIP dogs and cats (available for adoption for 30 days or more.) Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of free PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free year-long subscription to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash.
Join the party by providing your new pet with a place and family to call their own. When you adopt a shelter pet, you’ll save a life by giving your new pet a home plus open up space for another pet at the SPCA of Texas.
