Giddy up and gallop over to the SPCA of Texas’ Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center at 8411 Stacy Road in McKinney for Help a Horse Day on Sunday, April 24 from 1p.m. to 5p.m.
Enjoy a FREE event celebrating horses. You and your family can take part in a horse demonstration along with touring the horse pastures, kids craft time, learning how to draw horses from a local artist, Muenster Milling livestock nutrition information and more!
Meet the McKinney Mounted Patrol and, of course the SPCA of Texas’ adoptable horses plus you can enjoy food and refreshments courtesy of PepsiCo.
Each year, the SPCA of Texas’ Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit rescues more than 2000 animals in distress, including livestock. Many of the livestock animals at the SPCA of Texas come from rescue situations and can go through weeks or even months of rehabilitation before they’re ready to be adopted.
Donations made at Help a Horse Day will assist in providing the animals plenty of nutritional food and hay to eat so they can become healthy enough for adoption.
So, bring your family and friends and join us for the SPCA of Texas’ Help a Horse Day. For more information, call 214-742-SPCA (7722) or visit www.SPCA.org
