Go Big AND Go Home!

The SPCA of Texas Offers Adoption Special for Large Dogs

WHAT: You don't have to go big or go home -  at the SPCA of Texas, you can go big AND go home when you adopt a large dog from either of the SPCA of Texas' two North Texas-area Animal Care Centers. From Friday, January 27th, to Sunday, January 29, the SPCA of Texas will be providing a free Dickie's dog bed, a $60 value, with every large dog adoption (weighing 40-pounds or more)!

Regular adoption fees are $250 for puppies, $125 for adult dogs 6 months and older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older and VIP dogs (available for adoption for 30 days or more.) Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free year-long subscription to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash.

When you adopt a shelter dog, you’ll save a life by giving your new dog a home plus open up space for another dog at the SPCA of Texas. With the joy and love a new pet brings, you’ll change an animal’s life as well as your own. Adoption hours at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney are noon to 6 p.m daily.

WHEN:
Friday, January 27th, 2017 through Sunday, January 29th, 2017 from Noon to 6 p.m.

"I'm absolutely in LOVE with Kitty (formerly Kaleigh). I know her name isn't original at all but I just started calling her that until I could think of a name and it just stuck - it's so her! I've attached two photos - she's seriously the most beautiful kitty in the world! She loves to steal tennis balls and bones from her dog sister - she thinks she's a dog! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, snuggling with mom, bird watching, drinking from the sink, playing with her pipe cleaners and getting into mom's makeup in the mornings. I couldn't 'imagine life without her. She's the absolute best!"
