Dog Den

Benchy Bungalow - Ridgemont/GFF

The Dog Den is carefully hand crafted to resemble a tipi with a modern influence. The arrayed wooden slats, locally sourced, are angled such that passive air flow is allowed in the shelter, while simultaneously acting as a rain screen to shield from harsh weather. The position of the slats also allows for indirect natural daylight, helping to warm the shelter as needed during cooler months. We choose to utilize natural materials such as wood, since it’s a sturdy material that can last a lifetime. The base of the dog house is slightly raised to keep moisture from the dog bed area, as well as allowing cooler winds under the house for a more stable climate. The structure allows the dog to feel comfortable by allowing ample head room so the dog does not feel confined in its shelter. Studies show dogs love to curl up in a ball and prefer round dog beds with soft corners. The circular base/bed removes hard corners allowing the dog to comfortably snuggle up for a nap. We believe the Dog Den provides a visual focal point and would be great in the yard or playroom. It is the perfect addition to any home. It’s unique and sure to be the talk of the town!
