Court Appointed Community Service Program

At the orientation, CASC workers must bring the court documentation that states their offense and contact information for the CASC worker’s probation officer. If the CASC worker does not have a probation officer, contact information for the court that heard the case is required.

All potential Court Appointed Community Service (CASC) workers must be at least 16 years of age.

We accept CASC workers with the following offenses (only those that occurred in the state of Texas):

  • Basic traffic tickets
  • DWI (first offense only)
  • Minor in possession of alcohol (16-20 years old)
  • Some minor drug-related charges (on a case-by-case basis)

All workers must complete the appropriate CSR application. A $25 (non-refundable) background check fee (cash or money order) must accompany the application along with a copy of a government-issued photo ID. We will not accept CASC workers with the following offenses:

  • Violent crimes
  • Drug/drug-related crimes
  • Animal abuse
  • Sex crimes
  • All Theft including check/credit card fraud

All workers will need to attend a CASC orientation (which will last about 20-30 minutes).

"I'm absolutely in LOVE with Kitty (formerly Kaleigh). I know her name isn't original at all but I just started calling her that until I could think of a name and it just stuck - it's so her! I've attached two photos - she's seriously the most beautiful kitty in the world! She loves to steal tennis balls and bones from her dog sister - she thinks she's a dog! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, snuggling with mom, bird watching, drinking from the sink, playing with her pipe cleaners and getting into mom's makeup in the mornings. I couldn't 'imagine life without her. She's the absolute best!"
