THLN Annual Public Meeting

The North Texas Chapter is gathering to discuss the upcoming 2019 session and how you can get political for animals. Exciting legislation has already been filed to advance the humane treatment of animals this session and THLN will be prioritizing bills to fix our broken statute regulating dog shelter and restraint and predatory practices at pet stores. The event is open to the public, but please RSVP with the link below!

Find Your New Best Friend!

Meet Dak!

Dak is energetic, friendly and craves being around humans. He loves to walk and is easy to walk. He was also easy to leash. If the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys is a good guy on and off the field, then this loving pit bull/bulldog was properly named after him. While he will never play football, you might enjoy having him around while watching the Cowboys play because he will provide unconditional love during those frustrating moments of being a local football fan.

Fighting Animal Cruelty

Investigating reports of animal cruelty is one of the toughest but one of the most vital parts of our mission. Our Rescue and Investigations team responds to more than 3,000 cases of cruelty each year in a variety of Texas counties, of which less than half of one percent are pursued with civil charges. Most are resolved through education and compliance.
