It has come to our attention that a person who posted their lost pet on our website was contacted by unscrupulous and law-breaking individuals demanding a large reward amount for "finding" an animal they did not in fact find, refusing to return the pet until they were paid what amounts to a ransom. Please use caution when responding to leads on the wherabouts of your pet being especially suspicious of those who make monitary demands for the return of pets.

Unfortunately, people like these have been in operation around the country for years. We urge you to report any incidents like this to your local law enforcement and to us so that together we can put a stop to this kind of crime. Let's not let these criminals get in the way of reuniting people and pets.

Our beloved Yoda was lost on Saturday, November 14, 2009 somewhere between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. We left him when we went out to eat Saturday night, it was the first day after being nutered and his first time alone without his brother and sister. He has was shut in the utility room, which has a doggy door to a small fenced in play area. Upon returning from dinner there was no sign of Yoda...no signs of digging underneath the fence, although we found one area where he might have been able to squeeze through, no signs of a predator inside the fence, seriously doubt someone jumped the fence and stole him since it is an 8 ft. board on board fence. He is tan/cream with tear stains under his eyes and 4 to 5 lbs (very thin). He is very happy and playful and wags his tail constantly. He was just nutered and needs to have his stiches removed shortly. Please call with any information, $100.00 reward if you know his whereabouts (dead or alive), just please give us some info.

She went missing on 10-15-2009 in Waxahachie,Tx. We found her brother quickly and she just vanished.

We had just moved back to Texas 3 weeks before she got lost from Wa State. She has or had on choke chain with 1 vets for less tag on it. It could have come off. Her brother and her got out by mistake. She is 6 years old and her name is also "Aussie". She has lots of black and white on her and 1 small white spot on her lower back side thats noticeable. She has a tiny brown speck in corner of her eye. Her coat is or was very shiny and short with a little bit fluffier tail and white towards the tip of it. She has a bare smooth small spot on her belly. She is spade and has had all shots. She is shy and timid around strangers and will bark. She loves to play ball. She also sucks on teddy bears because she was the runt. She loves hot dogs. Please I beg anyone to look out for her and help us. Her brother is not doing so well without her. Runaways: Gunther is an English Bulldog who is 3 years old. He is neutered and his coloring is fawn/white. My dog went missing just randomly,he left and has not come back. I have been looking for him, but I just can't find him and I miss him a lot. He is all black about one and a half years old. He is not too tall and he has a white toe on one paw.

He was at the back one day and he had left our house. My parents went looking for him, but they couldn't find him. Later on at night he came back, but when we put him back in the fenced area he managed to ecape again. We haven't found him, but we have not lost hope. It will now be 2 days since he left, and we feel that he might be in someone's backyard, but how do we know? Please help me find him I will do anything for that dog.

Bunnie and Buster got out of their back yard home the morning of Oct. 26, 2009 when the fence blew down with a strom. Much loved beagle makes a clean getaway in Garland/Sasche area. Can you help us find Dakota?? 10/29/09

My boyfriend's beagle made a bee-line for an opening garage door last night (8:45 - 9:00 PM, near Firewheel Parkway and Pleasant Valley Dr), and ran off into the dark before we could get car keys and flashlights to go after her. We searched for hours in the rain and cold, but couldn't locate her. Although her hearing is fine, she makes a point of ignoring calls when she's outside and following a scent. She's terribly missed by her family, and needs to be back home for tummy rubs and "singing" with her pack.
DAKOTA is a medium to large, spayed female beagle, tricolor. Tail white-tipped, fur on muzzle caramel brown. Big dark eyes, ringed with black. Skin on tummy white, with dark spots. Nails are light colored, in need of a trim. Little to no "gray" hair. Collar may be olive green, fabric, with prior years Garland Animal Control tag. Vet is Dr. Charles Pipes. REWARD

My husband and I saw two labs in the middle of our busy street. I called to them and the older one came running up to me protective of the other. Once she smelled me and I pet her, the licking was on. They are very affectionate and sweet. They are semi trained and the older responds more to my husband letting me know that she has probably been trained by a man. WE have posted signs in our town and we have gone looking for signs... could these be your lost dogs?

Adult female, found 11/17 at Hampton & Brandon (just south of 12th) in north Oakcliff.

I took her to two vets today and one thought she was 1 or 2 years and the other thought 6 or more. Her teeth are good so I'll stick with 2 - 4 years. VERY sweet, feminine disposition and face. May have had pups, though not recently. Looks roughed up and needs a bath, but she is not underfed. She has only a Red flea collar, and I don't think it works. While she has some manners, she is very curious and persistant; however not yappie or high strung as I understand the Jack Russell reputation. One friend lovingly refers to hers as a "Jack Russell Terrorist", and that doesn't fit this girl. She must belong to someone because she is house trained and has made herself at home.

I ran in to get a soda and this sweet dog sat at the door and waited on me. The gentleman in front of me walked out and she followed him. I thought that she belonged to him until he drove off without her. She then went on to the next person and then the next. As I turned around to get into my car, "Sally" jumped into the drivers seat. She gave me a look like "Ok lets go now." I took her home and fed her. She took to everyone very well and we could tell that she is well loved. She is definatly an escape artist. We put her out in the backyard and she is out in a second. She doesn't go anywhere, except to the front door. She is such a sweetheart. I am sure someone is missing her.

Yorkie mix found near Ferguson Rd and Gus Thomasson Rd.

We found a cute little yorkie mix female around 5 pounds at a thrift store on Furgeson Rd in Dallas.
Workers in the store said they saw her come from the neiborhood behind the bank near the thrift store.
We have taken her in hoping to find her people. The vet says she is in good health, but she seems to miss her real home.

Ginger was abandon in a parking lot. We took her to the vet who fixed every possible thing. She was spayed, nails clipped and teeth cleaned.

Found a gray and white male shih tzu wearing a black shirt that said "Stud" on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.

A very sweet gray and white male shih tzu or shih tzu mix followed us home from the intersection of Shannon and Estates in Carrollton. Wearing a red collar and black shirt reading "Stud," he had no other identifying tags except one for one for Carrollton Animal Hospital. We have checked with them multiple times and they have no record of him.
We took him to an emergency vet, and from there he was picked up by Carrollton Animal Control on Monday, Nov. 9. According to them he is up for adoption on Nov. 14 and will be put down on Nov. 24 unless someone claims or adopts him.
He has a great personality and played well with our dog. Please contact Carrollton Animal Control at 972-466-3420 if he is yours or you know who he belongs to.

He can sit and shake, jumped right in the car and sat in the back seat. I took him to McKinney Petsmart hoping he was chipped but they could not find anything. We found a Yorkshire Terrier / Terrier Mix on Friday, November 6, 2009. We have canvassed the area
but have not found any signs or postings of the missing dog.
We found this dog in the Prairie Meadows subdivision of The Villages of Woodland Springs.
The dog was found on the corner of Spotted Owl Drive and Muskrat Drive.
The dog has a collar, but no tags.
We have had the dog scanned for a microchip at a local veterinarian, but none was found.
We will ask you to identify the collar in detail as it is distinguishable.

This morning two beautiful white dogs were outside my back fence. Since there were obviously trained and very sweet, I was concerned about them wandering the neighborhood. Neither one has tags, so I have no way to contact a vet or owner. They are obviously well cared for and loved. I'd like to find the owners. They are currently in my backyard and have water. They ate some before I left for work. I live to the west of Eastfield College/ La Prada and south of Oates.

he was following a man down the street who said in passing hes been following me for several blocks when i opened the door to my home he came right in and began making himself at home,he got a bath and i put up posters in the monticello neighborhood 711 and pet smart behind the old montgomery wards on the 7th st ive been treating his ear infection with meds,and hes responding well,hes a sweet dog loves his tummy rubbed and occasionally comes to me for a head scratch and a little love,not pushy at all,jus sweet dog that needs to find his owner,i feel like he belongs to an older person who was calm and steady with him,sits under ur desk at ur feet and or under the dinner table not a begger like my dog,he does have a chip buttttt a paper mix out of state on the number is fouling up the works but im still working on the rescue group that put him out out of state to get it all lined out,my fervent prayers are that this dog return to his rightful owner,so look him over and help him get home thanks
