It has come to our attention that a person who posted their lost pet on our website was contacted by unscrupulous and law-breaking individuals demanding a large reward amount for "finding" an animal they did not in fact find, refusing to return the pet until they were paid what amounts to a ransom. Please use caution when responding to leads on the wherabouts of your pet being especially suspicious of those who make monitary demands for the return of pets.

Unfortunately, people like these have been in operation around the country for years. We urge you to report any incidents like this to your local law enforcement and to us so that together we can put a stop to this kind of crime. Let's not let these criminals get in the way of reuniting people and pets.

Cody,our fawn Boxer, went missing on Friday, February 5, 2010 in Arlington (near Collins and Pioneer Parkway). He is about 75 pounds, has a black "mask" face, has white paws/chest, and was wearing a black collar with a white flea collar. The tags may have been on his collar, but I believe they were not on him. He is super friendly and greatly missed.

Riley, a 7 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier male was lost Saturday, February 6. He was spending the night at my son's house while we were out of town for the night. He got out of the backyard and has not been seen since. He has a creamy wavy coat. He was last seen in the Bluffview/Park Cities area. He was wearing his collar at the time.

Despite all the efforts, Cosmo is still missing.

Cosmo got lost on Oct 1st at our farm in Valley View, TX. He was seen along I35 sometime during the following days. There has been no sign of him since so we believe that someone has picked him up. He is an 8 year old neutered male Greyhound/Pit Bull mix, built tall, lean and deep chested like a Greyhound with a Pit face. Pretty dark brindle color with white markings on chest and toes, long tail, very short thin hair. LOTS of allergies. A tan female Chihuahua (13 years old) named Penny and a black female Min-pin (2 years old) named Bella decided to take a walk around the neighborhood on January 25th. They did this often, but we would always find them. That day, we didn't. Eye witnesses state thay saw them at a location fairly far from home. We have not seen them since.
Thay always traveled together. The min pin's collar was not on because we had taken it off for a bath. The chihuahua had a special collar on when she left.

Saturday night (Jan 30th 11pm) our boston terrier named Junior got out of our fence when he was let out to go potty.

Please help us find our beloved little miniature australian shepherd female. She ran from our home due to all the noise the workers were doing upstairs. She left all the other dogs, ran out the doggie door and through two fences to get away from the noise. I had checked everyone at 1:30 pm on 12/28..all the dogs were fine..she was scared but thought she would just stay outside with the other dogs in the fenced yard. Thought about crating her but she hates to be crated. I was very wrong..should have crated her or taken her back to work with me. Am beating myself up pretty good about this very bad decision. It has been almost one month since she has been gone. She is very cute and loves kids and cats. I just hope the coyotes in this area didnt get her. Please help with any info you may have on her. Lucky was lost in the north Dallas/Addison area located by Trinity Mills and Marsh.

We live in the Lakewood area and have been fostering Lucky for 1.5 months. He finally found a home in the north Dallas area but on his first night there he dug out and has been missing since Monday, 1/18/2010. He is a boxer/pitbull mix, approx. 1 year old, neutered male. He is very shy and won't approach just anyone. Most likely he is hiding out somewhere. When we first found him he was living under our shed!
He is approx 55lbs (midsize dog), brindle colored with white paws and white/black/brindle markings on his face. When he escaped he had a collar and tag on him, as well as an electric tag (which could be lost by now). He also has a microchip.
I've called the local vets and sent flyers to them. If you can help too we would certainly appreciate it. We miss and love him and want him home.

We found a sweet scared grey male schnauzer in the Eldorado Heights area, between Lake Forest and McKinney Ranch (Wal-mart) around 9:30 PM February 4th.

We found this sweet male schnauzer last night as we were on Highlands about to cross Lake Forest. He does not have tags and was cold and wet so we took him in. He has been turned over to animal control where they said they would hold him for a week for his owners to claim him, and then he would be evaluated for adoption. I'm sure he will be adopted because he is a sweet beautiful well-mannered dog. Please contact me and let me know when you pick him up so I don't worry.

Hey, My name is Rachel. I have found and rescued several animals in my lifetime. Strays always find a way in my hands. Which i beleive God, is making it that way for a reason, being that i would never leave a stray to fend for its self, what ever it may require on my end. I found this beautiful medium, short-haired, husky/shepherd mix on 1/31/10. She looks to be pregnant.She has one blue eye and one brown eye. She is so loving, and loves giving kisses. She is very affectionate and also loves kids. Doesn't seem food aggressive towards humans at all.And seems to be housebroken. Also, does not mind being in a nice warm crate, with a chew. I would keep her myself, but can not because i already have so many animals, ones of which i have all rescued. It breaks my heart that such a loving dog has ended up in this situation, not to mention the puppies that may be inside of her. I really hope that i can help her and see that she has a bright future after all of this.

On Friday night, coming home from the office it was cold, rainy and about to be icy and in front of me were these two beautiful blonde beauties on Gaston Avenue about to run over!

It appeared that there was a lady there trying to coax them but was unsucessful so I turned around and followed the blondes. They were so scared and shaking from the cold. They did not want to let me get close to them, so I simply got out of my car opened the passenger side and they BOTH jumped in! This team has ridden in a car! The boy looks like a Chihuahua mix and the girl looks like a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Greyhound. They are beautiful dogs, both had collars, but no information. I circled around about an hour and I did not see anyone looking for them. I came back, looked and no signs posted. I know someone's heart is breaking. They are so much more behaved than my VERY OWN dogs someone loved them very much. They have not made one mess, one anything! They are quiet, loving and calm! Please if anyone knows anyone they belong to let me know. I can't keep them and it has been a real trick keeping my 5 pounders from these 20+ dogs! torey.kirby@gmail.com

A male wire hair terrier was found on 1/27/10 near Bishop Lynch High School. He was wearing a red collar with no tags. He has been microchipped but the chip was not registered. He was adopted from Pet Land in 2001, so his age is estimated to be 9 years old. He is not neutered. He is white with brown patches, and he weighs about 25 pounds. He is friendly and good natured.

Found in Shiloh - an undeveloped subdivision located in McKinney's Stonebridge Ranch off Bristol and Stonington drives.

Found this young, male pit mix on Saturday evening while walking my dogs. At first, I though he was just a runaway so I left him alone. But when I returned the next day, he was still in the same spot. I took him home for the night and on Monday morning, Collin County Animal control picked him up. While he was in my custody, he walked on a leash, stayed overnight in a crate with no problem, ate well and played hard. I wish I could have kept him, but I have 3 rescue pets already. I hope this sweet little guy can find his parents, or a loving forever home with someone new.

My husband found a puppy right in front of his office in downtown Celina. The puppy is a sweetheart and wants his family to claim him!

The puppy's info is:

Male catahoula/heeler mix (although the vet said he looks like he has some German Shepherd mix...)
About 5 to 6 months old. Seems to be housebroken but prefers to be outside.
Not neutered.
Found with no collar , tags or microchip. We have taken him to the vet and he now has shots & has a rabies tag.

He was found on 1/19/10 in downtown Celina in the square.

We have him at our home and will keep him until we can find his owners.

Found a pit bull mix at my place of employment in Irving. Sweet disposition, had a lime green collar on.

On 01/20/10, a pit bull/boxer/chihuahua? mix walked up to where I work. She isn't very old, but may have just had puppies. She did have a lime green collar on, but no ID. She knows some commands, but was a little dirty, maybe an outdoor dog. I have been keeping her at my apartments and she needs to get home. I can not have her where I live and am risking alot to shelter her temporarily. If anyone has ANY information, please contact me. She misses her home, and I am sure they miss her.

Hello, I found a sweet female dog in the Lemmon/Inwood area on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010. She was very friendly, and came right up to me and hopped into the car. She had an orange collar, but no tags. She also had recently had a surgery done to her right ear, as the stitches were almost dissolved. I took her to the vet to board her,as I do not have a place for her. They gave her shots, and a bath.
