The CAT for Dogs Seminar and Training Camp consists of:

  • Two full days of lecture, video and discussion of the Constructional Aggression Treatment procedure.
  • Two optional full days of work with aggressive dogs and human and canine decoys.

SEMINAR
Days 1 and 2 consist of a seminar that explains

  • The philosophy behind the CAT for Dog Procedure,
  • How to conduct the Procedure
  • Planning for generalization.

The seminar will be enhanced by

  • Videotaped demonstrations,
  • Photography
  • Powerpoint
  • Question and answer periods.

There will not be a live demo on Saturday or Sunday, but there will be videotaped demonstrations.

TRAINING CAMP
For people who have attended the 2 day seminar and wish to gain experience conducting the procedure, there is a 2-day training camp for a limited number of participants. The Training Camp consists of:

  • Group and team meetings
  • Setting up CAT trainings in teams
  • Conducting the CAT procedure with aggressive dogs, working as handlers, decoys, assistants, and record keepers
  • Problem solving
  • Questions, Answers and discussion.
