Congratulations to our 2015 Be Kind to Animals Week Poster Contest Winners!

Be Kind to Animals Week | May 4, 2015—May 8, 2015 

Children’s Poster Contest

Send in a poster encouraging kindness towards pets. Posters should say “Be Kind to Animals”.  Be creative and have fun! Your posters can be fancy and detailed as you wish! 

Contest begins Monday, April 15th and the deadline for poster entries is Thursday, April 30th 2015. 

Category 1 – Kinder-Second Grade

Poster Winners from Category 1 will receive an awesome SPCA of Texas goodie bag and a personal tour of one of the SPCA of Texas shelters during Be Kind to Animals Week May 4, 2015—May 8, 2015. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. 

Name, age, grade, phone number, and address should be listed on the back of each poster submitted. Poster size should be 22” x 28”. 

Category 2 – Third-Fifth Grade

Poster Winners from Category 2 will receive an awesome SPCA of Texas Critter Camp Registration. This will be one spot in one of the Critter Camp weeks during the summer only. Be Kind to Animals Week May 4, 2015—May 8, 2015. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners 

Name, age, grade, phone number, and address should be listed on the back of each poster submitted. Poster size should be 22” x 28”. 

One winner will be selected from each category.  Winners will be announced on Monday, May 4, 2015.  Poster winners will be featured on our website during Be Kind to Animals Week May 4, 2015—May 8, 2015. We will also have them displayed in our shelters for that week.

"I'm absolutely in LOVE with Kitty (formerly Kaleigh). I know her name isn't original at all but I just started calling her that until I could think of a name and it just stuck - it's so her! I've attached two photos - she's seriously the most beautiful kitty in the world! She loves to steal tennis balls and bones from her dog sister - she thinks she's a dog! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, snuggling with mom, bird watching, drinking from the sink, playing with her pipe cleaners and getting into mom's makeup in the mornings. I couldn't 'imagine life without her. She's the absolute best!"
