Dealey Life Care Cottage

Because of the number of pending contracts for pets to enter our LifeCare Cottage program, at this time the SPCA of Texas is not accepting additional applications for the program.

This charming home in the Collin County countryside is a home for pets who have lost their human companions to death or disability. Comfortable and caring, spacious and light, the 2,300 square foot cottage gives a true home setting for animals of varying ages and breeds with a live-in caretaker who will reside at the cottage.

Your companions will eat a familiar diet, play with their own toys, perhaps even sleep on a special bed brought from home. There are common areas of a living room, doggie den, kitty playrooms, spacious yard, and no caging!

A gift for each small animal (dog, cat, bird, amphibian) and/or for each large animal (horse, cow, pig, llama, etc.) ensures lifetime care at the cottage in a home setting. When you decide that your pet should become a part of the Life Care Cottage should anything happen to you, you will receive pet personality profile sheets to educate us on what special needs your pet might have as well as valuable information on their dispositions.
