Education

Designed for children in kindergarten through sixth grade our PetEd program employs animals (when available) as “teacher’s aides” to offer creative lessons in English, Geography, History, and Math, as well as pet responsibility, bite prevention and the 10 Acts of Kindness.

Let the SPCA teach your class!
Do you teach at a school in Collin or Dallas County? Contact the SPCA today about having an SPCA education staff member visit your class to give a lesson on some of the topics listed above. It's a fun, interactive way to teach your kids about animals.

Setup your classroom's animal lesson by calling 214-742-1811 or complete an online information request form and someone from the SPCA will contact you.

Cats and dogs we have found are great at helping teach the academic subjects. However their personal preferences seem to be for the petting and grooming lessons!
